Intelligent CAD data

Efficient engineering calls for reliable tools


We use the CAD software Unigraphics. This permits us to create parameterized and top-quality 3D CAD data. We strive to draw up and shape our developments and designs by means of CAD right from the beginning. The objective is the creation and visualization as a digital product. Thanks to this we achieve data continuity from the design right to the finished product including the mould design.
These data are used for the design, the product development, the mould design, the FEM analysis by means of Ansys and the Mold-Flow analysis. Apart from this the data can be passed on over various interfaces directly for the production of prototypes, moulds and components.

Product development with Unigraphics:
Thanks to the parameterized and associative structure it is possible to adapt individual parts and subassemblies at any time during the entire development process. Intelligent linking ensures the continuing adaptation of subassembly components, proportions, free (not precisely defined) shapes, 2D drawings, etc. This results not only in an excellent efficiency, but also in a high trueness of the data.

Mould design with Moldwizard:
To design the moulds we use the mouldmaking module Moldwizard. By this we design the moulds in a process-controlled manner and very efficiently. The Moldwizard permits to check the plastic parts for their suitability to be made by plastic injection moulding. Any missing or inadequate ejection tapers, undercuts, material accumulations, etc. are revealed graphically so that they can be corrected during the mould design process.

Industrial design with Shape Studio:
In the area of design we rely on the design module Shape Studio. This versatile software enables us to process already unsophisticated design sketches in a 3D-manner on the screen. Hand sketches or pictures can be read and used as templates. This permits us to transform ideas from the paper relatively quickly to a 3D volume. The data thus generated serve e.g. already as a basis for first discussions and the creation of preliminary models. Apart from this it is possible to generate photo-realistic pictures and to use these for the most varied purposes.

FEM analysis supported by Unigraphics:
Since the parameterized data of Unigraphics enable rapid adaptations, they are outstandingly suitable as a basis for FEM analyses by means of Ansys. With the calculation it is possible to show up the courses of stresses and deformations. The adaptations resulting from this can be translated in an uncomplicated and efficient manner with Unigraphics and the data are then ready again for the next simulation.

Summary:
Unigraphics is more than a group of integrated CAD, CAM and CAE applications. Unigraphics increases the individual and area-specific productivity in order to improve the efficiency in the entire process and at each individual stage.
